In short, Memorial is a Gospel-Centered Church that believes Jesus is everything and through faith/belief/trust in Jesus we pursue following Him together as one family. We believe that God places His people together in the context of a local body of believers (His church), not by accident, but for the Spirit-empowered purpose of glorifying Him through repenting and believing the Gospel of His son, Jesus Christ. Through His church we see His kingdom come and His will being done as He makes all creation right and new. In all we do we seek to worship the Lord passionately, connect with each other authentically, grow to know the Lord deeply, and go and share the gospel boldly as One Body in Christ.

What do you think when spiritual warfare crosses your mind?
Me: Are there any footholds in my life that the enemy is using to rob me of peace?
We: Are there any hurts or anything unspoken amongst us that the enemy is using to rob us of unity?
Everyone: How are cosmic powers of darkness at work in our communities, our world?
The only way to combat the darkness is with holiness and holiness only comes from the presence of Jesus in us.
Jesus is everything!

What comes to mind when you think of THE DEVIL/SATAN?
"Ideas... are the primary stronghold of evil in the human self and in society.” -Dallas Willard
Jesus said: “He (devil) was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies." - John 8:44
The devil is the Father of lies and works through deceitful ideas that play to disordered desires that are normalized in a sinful society. Jesus has brought us PRESENCE (Spirit) and TRUTH The Devil moves us towards ISOLATION and LIES
Jesus is everything!

Jesus knew the devil is real and around you and I. What does it mean when Jesus calls God "The Father?"
What does that mean for us each day?
The Father LOVES you and is wanting to have His presence be WITH YOU and for you to be WITH HIM!

Jesus teaches freedom is doing what you are meant to do! Jesus says if you live for anything other than me, that thing will enslave you and tyrannize you How do we abide in His words practically?Jesus is everything!

God gave people to prepare people to build people for HIS KINGDOM COME!
"And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ..." - Eph 4:11-12 Not simply VOLUNTEERS but KINGDOM PEOPLE! You are gifted and called to ministry for His Kingdom! How are you being equipped/equipping?Jesus is everything!

2 Corinthians 5:14-15 For the love of Christ compels/controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; 15 and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.
You cannot love, you cannot truly live, if you do not receive His love and His life. He is love. He is life.
