Mark 8 - Trust the Lord will always provide

The Lord is long-suffering with us. Even when we are failing to understand or when we choose to pursue our own desires he provides for us. In Mark 8 and 9 we witness a dramatic turn of events in a short time. Peter proclaims Jesus as the Christ and then moments later is called an enemy of God. But the Lord does not just leave him in his sin. Jesus reveals his glory to Peter along with James and John. The same glory that makes Jesus worthy to save our souls. We can always count, even in our sin, for the Lord to provide himself. 

Mark 7 - Legalism is not the Gospel

Throughout Christian history the false belief that somehow we must earn our salvation has poisoned is all. It is a dangerous and alluring thought that somehow, through our own efforts, we can overcome the corruption in our hearts. In Mark 7 Jesus teaches us about false religion and that our hearts are corrupt. Only through faith in Jesus can we be changed at heart and be made right.

Mark 4 - Where is your Faith?

When we follow Jesus sometimes things get messy. Sometimes we struggle to understand why things happen in life the way they do. Jesus challenges us to put our faith in him. We are meant to know that his goal is to save our lives and we should trust him with all!

Mark 4 - Ears to Hear.

In Mark 4 Jesus challenges us to have EARS to HEAR. In a world where evil, emotions, life circumstances and other distractions fight to control our hearts and mind, we must fight to have a posture of hearing the Word of God and taking it into our everyday lives. 

Mark 2 - We Carry Each Other in Christ

Mark 2 gives us an incredible picture of faith in Jesus. We as the Church are called to carry one another as we struggle through the hard times in life. Are you connected to a church that will help carry you and you can help carry others?

Mark 1 - We can repent with the power of Jesus

We are all called to respond to the calling of our Lord's voice. The first word's we hear Jesus say should ripple through and change everything about life. We are called to repent and believe in the Gospel. 

Mark 1:1-8 - The Message and Example of John the Baptist

September 8th marks the first Sunday of our Fall Fellowship study through the Gospel of Mark with the Francis Chan RightNow Media video series. The Gospel of Mark opens with a description of John the Baptist, the man Jesus describes as the "greatest man born of woman." His message is one of repentance and forgiveness and he is a stark contrast to the church leaders of the day. How do we live in contrast to culture but instead live for the message of the Gospel? 

Acts 14 – Gospel and Confrontations

Where the Gospel is spoken confrontation and division can often occur. The temptation of the church is to water down and dilute the Word, to make it more palatable for the masses. The problem is a diluted Gospel never satisfies your heart or redeems your soul.

Acts 15 – Jesus Brings Rest

We are saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus. Period. When we add anything more we place a load on ourselves and others that none of us can carry. Are you tired? Jesus says His load is light and He can give rest to your souls (Matthew 11:28-30).

Acts 16 - Being Apart of a Redemption Story

We are called to be His witnesses. In Acts 16 we see the significance in answering this call even to the most unlikely of people God is calling us to witness to.
